FEEDBACK/OPINIONS

FEEDBACK
After seeing that Almeda School had two detention ponds, Jim Bockel says, “I use to have to sit in a hot classroom for detention, now kids have a pond to sit in when they are bad.” Progress, Jim progress.

Joaquin Rodriguez says, “Nobody believes me but riding north on a bicycle is easier than riding south on Almeda Road because the road slants up going north.” He wants others to make a test ride and confirm his theory.

James Andrews says:
Have you ever thought, "I really like what Joe Notachance stands for. I think it would be great if he could win, but I don't want to waste my vote on a candidate that doesn't have much of a chance."
Here's a little list of reasons to go for it, and vote your heart anyway:
6. The more votes Joe gets, the more the guy with the pretty hair has to pay attention to what Joe said.
5. Your vote might not tip the election, but it might tip Joe's confidence enough to run again. Times may change, and Joe might have a better last name by then ... like Joe Slimtonone.
4. Your support might encourage Joe's son, Jand Possiblecontender, to carry the torch for ol' dad.
3. You never know when everyone else is going to say, "What the heck, let's do it."
2. There are so many good ways to waste a vote these days, why not waste it on a Joe you actually like?
1. A vote for Joe might make the Uncle Sam's in there now think twice about voting in another raise for themselves.

Earl Divoky writes: The Tea Party is doomed to disappointment if they think the 10th amendment trumps the rest of the Bill of Rights combined, since Florida isn’t the first state to try drug testing for welfare recipients. In 2003, Michigan’s similar law was ruled unconstitutional for violating our 4th amendment protection against unreasonable searches without probable cause.
To highlight this war on the Poor’s hypocrisy, Louisiana/s Sen. David Vitter has introduced the “Drug Free Families Act” in Congress, which would create yet another unfunded Federal Mandate (at the states’ expense, of course!) to unconstitutionally require all 50 states to drug test all temporary Assistance for Needy Families program applicants and recipients—the 10th Amendment being conspicuously absent!
Sen. Vitter should read his Bible more—a lot more! In Luke 11:46, Jesus chastises those who would, “...load men with burdens hard to bear, and you yourselves do not touch the burdens with one of your fingers.”
