Is It All About Rabbits Or A Lamb?
Most of us will celebrate April 5th. For some the star attraction will be the Easter bunny for others it will be the resurrection of the Lamb of God.
When people started following Jesus, they thought he would lead them to freedom from the Romans. Their hopes were dashed when he went to the cross, not realizing that His death could set them free from the power of their own sinful nature.
As the perfect, sinless Lamb of God he redeemed us from the power of Satan and gave us power to become God’s children. John 1:12
There is ample proof that Christ died and was buried, but the grave could not hold the Son of God. The tomb is empty!
Jesus said, “I lay down my life that I might take it again. No man takes if from me, but I lay it down of myself. I have power to lay it down, and I have power to take it again.” John 10: 18.
We rejoice because our Redeemer lives!
SWEET RETIREMENT
Warner Ervin in 1991 turned Madison around. Considered by many he was the best principal Madison ever had, although some of the students did not like his policy that they wear belts. If a student didn’t have a belt he got the local stores to donate belts.
After nine years at Madison, Ervin served as Regional Director until 2010 and then retired. “I am enjoying being free,” he says.
He volunteered with the Houston rodeo which had 1.3 million people in attendance this year. He also volunteers at his church and when called upon he does consultation work for schools, but most of his time is spent caring for his cattle and horses. He and his wife were both raised in the country and they are happy to spend their retirement years in a rural area once again.
FORCED TO BUY IN A FREE COUNTRY?
Should we be forced to buy health insurance? “What about car insurance?” In Texas, we are not forced to buy car insurance. You can be self insured by providing proof that you will be able to cover all liability in case of an accident. You are not forced to have insurance to protect your vehicle. Car insurance protects others. Forcing us to buy health insurance is saying, “You don’t know what is best for you.” We have 435 representatives, 100 senators, and one president, who know what is best. We just need to depend on them. Don’t listen to or read things that are critical of their wisdom. They know what is best. If enough people believe that, we will have a utopia. A Communist utopia.
ONE HUNDRED YEARS

GILBERT A. URIBE JR. Gilbert attended Madison High School and was in ROTC graduating in 2012 with Honors. He has served in the U.S. Marine Corps going on three years.

Alfred and Shirley Borden Renfro recently celebrated 16 years of marriage February 13th at Joe Massas Seafood where they go every year. They both attended Missouri City High School but had gone their separate ways until they got reacquainted. Then they dated for 18 years before rushing into marriage.

TIPS
When freezing food, get the air out of the freezer bag by closing the bag except for a small opening. Insert a straw and suck the air out. Then close the small opening. Works good
To peel shell off a hardboiled egg, break a very small opening in the shell on one end of the egg and a larger opening on the other end. Blow through the large opening and the egg is easier to peel.

Moe’s grandmother went to the doctor. Five minutes later she came screaming out of young doctor Brown’s office. An older doctor stopped her and asked what was wrong. Trembling she said, “Dr. Brown told me was pregnant.” The older doctor calmed her down and asked her to wait as he marched down to Dr. Brown. “What is the matter with you, telling a 73 year old woman she is pregnant,” he demanded. Fresh Water Supply District 1
Capping private wells is under discussion where possible contamination to public water supply exists. Details are being worked on by FWSD1, in cooperation with Fort Bend Department of Health and Human Services. FBHHS will join FWSD1 next regular scheduled public meeting April 16th 6pm. FBHHS and FWSD1 are working together to supply safe drinking water and a sanitary system in the Fresno area community. Information was announced during the public meetings held March 19th. Condolences
Ellen Ora Hogue 1932– 2015 Ellen passed away February 25, 2015. She worked many years at ERSI. She is survived by her daughter Linda Leslie and a son Gene/Linda Hogue.
Sarah Jane Parker Osbon,75, of Alvin passed away March 10, 2015. She worked at Koza in Pearland for many years. Sarah grew up in Almeda. Her grandparents Mr. And Mrs. Anson Parker, came to Almeda in 1895. They built the two story house still standing next to Parker’s Hardware. Sarah is survived by her husband, Jerry; sons William and Martin; daughters Prissy and Lucy and sisters, Florence and Linda.
Just Venting A Wake UP Call
Have you seen the news lately? Children are being targeted by satan. He doesn't deserve a capital "s."
Just the other day I was babysitting my special needs grandson. He was in front of the computer having so much fun. I came closer and saw what he was watching. My grandson was watching "Calliou drowns in the tub." Imagine it, a tub filled with bubbles and Calliou lost in them. Later that day, I caught my grandson in the bath, repeating what he had seen on the internet.
I believe this is either a subliminal message or mind control. Equally important, if you've seen 20/20, you've heard about “Slender Man." What is he doing using mind control on OUR children? David Muir, talking to a class of boys and girls asked how many of them had heard of Slender Man. Everybody raised their hands. He then asked how many of them told their parents about him. Not a single hand went up.
People, the word of God says in Hosea 4:6, "My people perish for lack of knowledge." According to Colossians 2:14-15, "Jesus has triumphed over satan." Let's be wise and remind him of his defeat at the cross through Jesus Christ's blood. Amen! Sent in by Martie M.
